The Self of The Therapist: Self-disclosure in Contemporary Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy
Can I show my tattoos? Do I tell patients if I’m sick? How much can and should I share about my personal life? These are the questions we ask ourselves!
This month-long class will explore the self of the therapist through an intersubjective lens. Who is the “I” of the therapist? What relationship does this “I” have with the patient? What parts of ourselves must be disclosed, and what stays hidden? Through readings, discussions, and small writing reflections, therapists will have a chance to explore their own values, desires, and ethics related to self-disclosure.
Make it stand out.

Dream it.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
